Svevia, Sweden’s largest operational contractor, seeks an Operations Manager (Arbetschef) for their Mälardalen region. In this senior leadership role, you’ll oversee a diverse business portfolio including construction contracts, tunnel cleaning, and road maintenance services across the region. You’ll drive long-term growth and profitability while managing a team of section managers and specialized business leaders, contributing to regional strategy as a member of the management team. The role combines entrepreneurial freedom with the stability of a large enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a broad business portfolio spanning construction, maintenance, and specialized services
- Drive business development, customer relationships, and identify new market opportunities in the region
- Ensure commercial governance through the entire contract lifecycle, from bidding to execution and risk management
Requirements
- Experience in construction contracts and operational/maintenance activities
- Proven leadership experience with staff, operations, and profit/loss responsibility
- Experience leading and developing other managers or leaders
- Strong understanding of business economics, profitability, and risk management
- Experience with budget, forecast, and results tracking
- Very good Swedish language skills (spoken and written)
- Valid Swedish Class B driver's license
