Hitachi Energy, a global leader in sustainable energy solutions, seeks a Business R&D Team Leader to join their Control & Protection Design Organization. This role combines technical leadership and people management, overseeing a cross-functional team of hardware, software, optical, and mechanical engineers. You will drive R&D strategy, ensure product quality, and develop capabilities within a global matrix organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a cross-functional team of HW & SW engineers and consultants
- Take ownership of technical design, quality, and long-term product sustainability
- Drive R&D strategies aligned with business objectives through full product lifecycle
Requirements
- Master's degree in Engineering or related technical field
- 8-10+ years of experience in R&D, product development, or innovation
- Proven leadership experience combining people management and technical responsibility
- Strong understanding of multidisciplinary engineering environments
- Experience with full product lifecycle including testing, verification, and industrialization
- Ability to drive technical strategy in a global matrix organization
