Hacksaw Studios is seeking a CTO / Lead Developer to lead their platform team responsible for building and maintaining the core remote gaming server platform. This is a senior hands-on role in the online gaming industry, overseeing a high-volume, transactional system where scalability, security, and code quality are critical. The role involves both technical leadership and active development, working closely with engineering, DevOps, and senior management.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical direction and development of the remote gaming server platform
- Write, review, and deliver high-quality C# code while ensuring scalability, performance, and security
- Communicate technical decisions and platform changes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
- Extensive professional experience with C# and .NET
- Strong experience building scalable, production-grade backend systems
- Very strong SQL skills, including performance optimization and data modelling
- Experience working with transaction-based systems in high-volume environments
- Strong understanding of system architecture, API design, reliability, and security
- Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex technical topics
