Senior Manager Initiatives is a key engineering leadership role at Swedish Match, with responsibility for shaping the factory’s future. You will lead the Engineering team and drive strategic investments, new technologies, automation, and continuous improvement across the site. The position combines people leadership, complex project delivery, technical strategy, and collaboration with local, regional, and global stakeholders. You will help build a high-performing, technically capable organization focused on safety, quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Lead major CAPEX and investment projects from business case through implementation
- Shape the site’s long-term engineering, technology, and investment roadmap
- Lead and develop the Engineering team while driving automation, innovation, and performance improvements
Requirements
- Experience leading engineering, manufacturing, operations, or complex project teams in a leadership role
- Demonstrated ownership of significant investment or CAPEX projects
- Strong understanding of manufacturing engineering, automation, asset performance, and continuous improvement
- Ability to translate business needs into sustainable technical solutions
- Strong cross-functional and international stakeholder collaboration skills
- Commitment to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability
- Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and build technical teams
