Unit Manager for Göteborg Konst within the City of Gothenburg’s Cultural Administration. You will lead a team of 13 responsible for the municipal art collection, contemporary and public art, and several art funds. The role combines operational, financial, staffing, and workplace-safety responsibility with strategic collaboration in a public-sector cultural organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead unit operations, finances, staff, goal-setting, and workplace safety
- Develop the municipal art collection and manage public art projects and funds
- Represent Göteborg Konst and build partnerships with public bodies, businesses, and external actors
Requirements
- Academic degree in art or an equivalent qualification
- Experience leading teams with responsibility for personnel, budgets, and the work environment
- Experience with goals, follow-up, organizational development, and change
- Experience from the art sector, such as contemporary art or public art
- Strong knowledge of cultural and art policy and the role of culture in societal development
- Strong knowledge of art in urban development and spatial planning
- Clear, inclusive, and trust-based leadership skills
