Nora Municipality is recruiting a permanent Head of Parks and Operations to establish and lead a new department reporting directly to the municipal director. The role combines strategic and operational responsibility for parks, forests, sports facilities, green-space planning, and facilities services. You will build organizational structures, manage about 16 employees and budgets, and develop sustainable outdoor environments for residents and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Parks and Operations unit, including parks, forests, sports facilities, and facilities services
- Manage approximately 16 employees, budgets, investments, projects, and operational systems
- Plan and improve green spaces, outdoor facilities, and sustainable municipal operations
Requirements
- Documented experience in park and green-space operations
- Strong knowledge of outdoor-area operations, development, and management
- Previous managerial or team-leading experience
- Ability to lead staff, build engagement, and achieve operational goals
- Relevant university-level education or equivalent experience in horticulture, landscape management, agriculture, or a related field
- Understanding of both strategic and operational issues in the green sector
