Simrishamn Municipality is seeking a Head of Planning to lead an 11-person unit responsible for comprehensive and detailed planning, land and development matters, and GIS/MBK. You will manage operations, budget and staff, join the community building management team, and represent the municipality in discussions with politicians, developers, authorities and residents. The role is based on trust, dialogue, collaboration and clear goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop the planning unit and its activities
- Manage budgeting, business planning and follow-up
- Represent the municipality with politicians, business partners and external actors
Requirements
- Academic degree in physical or community planning, architecture, land surveying, geography or an equivalent field
- Experience in community building and detailed planning
- Strong knowledge of Sweden's Planning and Building Act and municipal planning processes
- Experience leading staff, operations or projects
- Strong spoken and written Swedish
